Everyone at Wood Buffalo Youth Science Foundation is a volunteer. They donate their time and energy to create meaningful opportunities for youth to engage in Project-Based Scientific Work. Everyone from the Board of Directors, Judges, and Exhibit Hall Volunteers are all working toward the same means – to make sure our participants have a safe and happy time at the fair. This is where we need you! Each year we recruit a host of volunteers. We have much work to do and not enough hands to do it all. While we always welcome judges, we also are always needing and greatly cherish our Exhibit Hall Volunteers.
Jobs at WBRSF
Registration Desk – Assist students to receive their name badges, t-shirt and show them to their project tables
Runners – to assist with everything and anything on the Exhibit Hall floor; from helping a student set-up their backboard, to clearing away debris, to handling anything that may come up, it all comes to this dynamic team.
Photographer’s Assistant – A clerical role to ensure that the photographer documents each project and participant.
Snack Cart – Prepare and go around with a snack cart with refreshments for judges and participants while the judging is underway.
And anything else!
Your Time is Valued
We know that your time is precious, but any time that you are able to give we would greatly appreciate! We have organized the day into shifts, when you register, you simply tick-off the time slot that you are able to commit to.

8:00am – 12:30pm – When all of the students arrive and need checking in and their lunch!
9:00am – 11:30am – First round of judging
11:30-12:30 – Lunch
12:30-2:30pm – Second round of judging we need to keep the energy up!
Saturday April 21, 2018
10:30am – 12:30pm – VIP Check-ins at the Registration Desk
12:30pm – 1:30pm – Awards time! We need Runners!
1:30pm – 2:30pm – Clean-up and Take Down; All Hands on Deck!
